And Karan Johar’s next song arrives. OK, not Karan Johar’s song, but his production’s next movie’s first song is out and here goes their first song, Dil khol ke let’s rock which is actually a version of Elvis Presley’s 1957 song JailHouse rock. Thus, Karan Johar and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy go a step ahead from Pretty Woman which was a 1990′s movie. I need not think twice to guess that Karan would have got the rights for this one too.

It’s another matter that I didn’t like the song so much as the original one, even though I’m not a big fan of Elvis. Probably I didn’t like the voice of Anushka in the song (I hope it’s her) and for sure I don’t think Kajol and Kareena go with that rock voice right after Lata and Alka and Shreya Ghoshal. Still, if the song exists in a Karan Johar movie, it has to be a hit, and however liked or disliked by me, a song can never be not worth a hear if it comes from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and that too one that was made by Elvis and that when it was listed on the 500 best songs ever.

Oh, btw, Suraj Jagan sounds good in the song.

Dabangg. Salman Khan. Pure.

As I watched the trailer of Salman Khan’s Dabangg, I was just loving it and cursing the producers why they released the trailer so early. Well, I’m in love with the trailer now and want to watch it. Anyone in doubt?

OK. If you are in doubt, here is the reason. For Salman Khan, there are two key areas: Fights and Comedy. And as I saw the trailer, I was sure I was going to plenty of both in the film, whatever be the story. My guess is, I can watch Dabangg to simply have a good time. Watch the trailer and decide for yourself.

Still in doubt after watching Inspector Chulbul Pandey? I guess not.

Madhno Re – Lamhaa: Lyrics n more

Well, as I said, Mithoon is back with Lamhaa. And here is the first song of the album, out there. Sung by Mithoon (as far as I can guess) and Chinmayee (as per sources), madhno re is an instantly likable song. The best part of the song is that it is Mithoon’s type, it’s good, but it doesn’t sound repetitive. In short, I am loving the song already, check it for yourself.

Here are the lyrics of the song, the last part here looks like Dogri/Kashmiri as it sounds a bit close to Urdu. Lyrics of the may not be fully correct. Corrections, if any, are invited.

Kuch to baaki hai – Milenge Milenge

Himesh is totally back. I mean you can certainly get to hear his voice in Kajraare where he’s the hero too, but then after a long time you can hear him In milenge milenge – the long pending venture of Satish Kaushik.

For now, the first song from the move is out and you can hear him crooning kuch to baaki hai, a slow number, belonging to the Himesh era only.

The Interesting thing is that after a long break, Himesh sounded good, at least to me, In the song. And in case you happen to be a Himesh fan, just be happy, your days are here, at least for sometime. Again.

Kajra Kajra Kajraa re – Himesh Reshammiya

Love it, Hate it, Get addicted or decide your own combination, whatever you do, you cannot ignore Himesh Reshammiya’s new song as long as you have access to television or radio. Right now, television is showing the promo of Kajra Kajra Kajraa re almost every minute (yes, literally, and I’m not counting all channels together) and the prophecy I made two hours ago is turning out to be true. The prophecy was simple, however be the singing, the music of the punch line, Kajra Kajra Kajra re is addictive and will stick to tongues soon. Though nobody will dare sing it. After all, we know who has sung it and how.

Himesh goes back nasal in Rabba Luck Barsa (Kajraa re)

Himesbhai is back. Well, if you think he was back some time earlier with Radio too, I’m not talking of that Himesh. I am here talking of Himesbhai, the one who was there before Radio, in Aap ka Suroor and other movies. And that can be seen in his song, Rabba Luck Barsa.

The traces of Title song that I saw during the first promo also had a nasal touch and now I can listen to Himesh singing Mahiya se deedar kara de rabba luck barsa in a fairly nasal style, though I doubt if he’s actually singing as nasal as he did earlier.
