Dhinchak Zindagi didn’t sound so dhinchak to me even with its not bad melody, probably because of its arrangements, and Kunal sounds a bit too enthusiastic here, but then that probably goes with the song. Overall fine, but not too great.

The next, do kabootar gets some reduction in noise levels, and even though it’s Kunal again, the song and the singing are both better. Even though the song is nice, if you listen to the lyrics, they seem worthy of a little more serious tune. Not bad still. Like it.

And here comes X-Factor, as producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets Nirmatee from the show to sing a song composed by Shamir Tandon and Kavita Seth, and written by Deepa Sheshadri. While the song seems like a last moment addition to the album, and may not be in the movie, the singer is definitely nice, another addition in the list of husky voices, and the song, Intezaar, is not bad. A bit heard-somewhere type, but nice.

Kunal’s next, Take it Easy, brings Gayatri as well, though she doesn’t really get much in the song. Anyway, the song with a lot of easy on ears guitar is easy on ears overall too, and the light lyrics keep it natural. Like it.

Hitesh Sonik composed Tu, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, comes next. Sunidhi almost whispers the song, making her voice a little husky and tough to identify in the process. Must listen.

Yaadon ke album has got some really wonderful lyrics from Amitabh Bhattacharya, while KK gives life to the slightly rock’ish composition of Ajay-Atul.

Overall My Friend Pinto is a nice album and has some nice songs, especially the last two, namely tu and yaadon ke album mein. While Kunal’s Do kabootar and Take it easy are fine too.

Yup, Click starts exactly on the same note as Shamir Tandon’s first composition Rubaayi starts exactly like Atif’s Doorie even though it changes its path early. The song though is good, and all singers, especially Sunidhi sound well. Lyrics of the song are slightly better than average for a usual love song. Overall, other than Atif effect the opening song of Click is not bad.

The second song of the album, Aameen Suma Aameen Suma, sung by Shamir and Master Saleem is a westernized Sufi song filled with beats. The song doesn’t have much new but sounds okay. Saleem sounds good in the song which is one of the major strengths of the song. Wondering if the song would have been better had there been a different mixing, with less beats and a better Sufi effect.

The third song of the album Mehroom hua na dil kabhi starts with Shreya Ghoshal’s beautiful voice on a melody that would find itself completely in place in the ’90s, mixed with a tune that matches Shamir’s own Roshan Dil ka Jahan from Runway. Shreya and Shaan sing the word Mehroom sounding completely like Roshan from the Runway song. Now it’s not plagiarism when you copy from your own song but Shamir clearly lacks originality here.

The next song of the album which happens to be the title song of the album is sung by Adnan Sami while Shamir’s name appears on all songs anyway. The song is not really great but at least it’s one song that remotely sounds like made for the movie as it has more scope of fitting in the movie compared to previous songs. Also, at 5+ minutes the song looks bit too long.

The next song of the album, Yaadein Yaad Aati Hain, is expected to be the best song of the album as Shamir brings in Three big names together as KK, Vijay Prakash, and Sunidhi. But all those big names don’t make a great impact on you as the song starts. The good part, though, is that Shamir seems to be trying something new after four typical songs. The bad part is that for some reason Shamir decides to keep the music shallow and nothing reaches deep into your heart while it seems KK’s voice has been left largely unused. Vijay Prakash’s nainam chhindanti shastrani is ineffective. A song that could be good I guess. Makes me feel the composer has talent but is not coming out as it should.

The original songs of the movie end here. The next is a male only version of Rubayee, sung by Shamir and Raaj. Though there is hardly anything extra. There are two remixes of Yaadein Yaad aati hain and Rubayee at the end. No comments on them.

Overall Click is an average album with run of the mill songs. There is hardly anything new but whatever is there sounds okay. That is all I can say for now.

If there was any doubt in the fact that Panga gang is a useless movie, the soundtrack confirms it. The movie has some strange songs. Interestingly it’s the only album where only one song doesn’t claim to be a remix or some type of mix.

Here is the review. Point to be noted: the remix is relative and the good words need not be compared with good in general.

The first song of the album has only one thing good. Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice. Actually the music is not bad but the lyrics are so crappy that you do not care about the music anyway. The music could be used for at least some better purpose.

The next song is called Mera Item Number Gazab ka hai Sure Shot Dance Mix. The song has some interesting music and if properly run on television, it may be a hit like Jail’s Bareilly ke Bazar mein.

The third song, Saj Dhaj Ke (Grand Film Mix) bears the name of Sukhwinder Singh. The song is okay and if I do not have words of praise for the song, I do not have reasons to bash it either.

Next comes Mera Item number gazab ka hai Junglee mix. When I heard for the first time, I did not get what was the big difference between the two versions. And I am not patient enough to hear the song again to find it.

The next song comes with another big name, that of Shankar Mahadevan this time. This one is called Saj Dhaj ke Original Mix. Now that’s an original name for a remix. The voice of Shankar does no wonders to the song but the song sounds a bit better as you’re a bit familiar with it. One more problem with this mix is that the song has some parts with much less music and the dancey tune of the song doesn’t match with it.

The last track of the album is Gang Mix which is a medley of all songs of the movie. Hardly much to expect. At its best it could be as good as the best song of the album and I’d say it’s not even that.

In short, Pangaa gang is something that you cannot expect even children (who are the main audience of the movie) to be happy with. In fact, mera item number gazab ka hai are not the lyrics you expect in a children’s movie. The fact is that the music of the movie was not as bad as it does sound with the lyrics. The best lyrics of the album are where some English words are added to some useless Hindi sentences like garmi ke mausam mein rain ho gayi and khushiyaan aayin bucket bhar ke. Hardly something I can say good. Pangaa Gang is a big let down and the main culprit is lyrics. Virag Mishra’s lyrics can create a virag for the movie among people.
