Whackiest Blog Post on Dabangg!

Dabangg was good, and to me, the best thing of Dabangg was the movie’s comedy. But today I saw a Blog Post that made me laugh probably more than the movie itself. A guy tries to tell you the story of Dabangg on Facebook, while you have Chulbul Pandey, Dukhiyari Amma, Chhedi Singh, @Mast_Mast_Nain, Beuda Sasur, @Munni_Badnaam_Bhabhi, and even Useless Makkhi tweeting and facebooking.

Must, Must watch thing, and mind you, every single letter put on the post seems to be written with a thought. I wonder how long the author, Sujoy, has worked on it. His best post I have seen till date.

So no more chabad-chabad-patar-patar. Here is the link to the post.

3 years of Blogging

It’s 11th September, 2010. While many are celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, many are celebrating Eid too. My best wishes to both. The USA on the other hand, is mourning the 9th anniversary of terrorist attacks. And I realize that I today complete 3 years of almost regular blogging.

I wrote my first post on Blogger on 11th September 2007. I wouldn’t certainly have remembered that if it wasn’t for Google where I still am active with the same account I held three years ago too. And I wouldn’t probably remember it either had the date been anything other than 9/11.

Anyway, now that I know, like always, I’ll see some numbers, and even you will if you’re not too bored and not decide to leave the post.

My first blog was My Big Big World on Blogger, where I wrote exactly 100 posts, both big and small. My first post written on September 11th was about a college ‘reality’ show called Besuregama which was arranged by some of my friends at a very small level, so small that only the 9-10 of us present there enjoyed it. Sadly, I have lost most of the footage of the show, though it was completely captured.

Anyway, after blogging there till July ’08, I shifted to a new blog called ‘Zehreelay‘ and I tell you, the name was more inspired by my reputation in college for my PJs rather than the Rock On song. Again I had some one plus year’s posts (some 75+ posts) there until I started my blog Happysing.

But before that, there was more in between. With Zehreelay, I blogged on musicalised and musicalized about music only with more than 160 posts on the latter. The latter also boasts of some 14k visits till date.

Today, I’m blogging on HappySing, that is this blog, which has some 320 published posts, and BollyMeaning, which I have started some two months ago, which has some 150 posts and gets some 2k+ visits everyday at present.

I just wish I keep writing. Wish me all the best.

Why I Do Not Give Star Ratings to Music Reviews

Whenever we review something, we decide how it is on the basis of stars. And we expect the same when we read a review. But I still do not prefer to give star ratings to my music reviews (many times I don’t rate even movies with stars, but I do not have a problem with that, and sometimes I do rate movies with star ratings).

I have got suggestions from some of my readers that I should give star ratings to my album reviews. But somehow, I do not feel like doing that. Here are my reasons for that.

Firstly, I feel that every song is a different song and so I do not put ratings for entire albums, as I feel individual songs get lost if there are good songs in bad albums.

For example, if a 2 star album has a 5 star song, there is hardly a chance many people will get to know about it

To try and reduce the burden though, I write about what songs one should try while summarizing every album n u can find every songs name in bold in the review. So u can just read the Summary n get to know about the album.

Also, mostly my n publics reaction depend a lot on the expectations from an album. This relativity cannot be adjusted with stars as the star rating has to be similar throughout a platform.

Basically, stars give a quick idea of things, but they fail to reach the motive of this blog in many ways. Hence, I avoid stars.

I just want u to read three or four sentences summary to know about an album. I hope u would understand what I am trying to do and cooperate with that.

Thanks for the visits, appreciations, comments and suggestions. Keep visiting the blog and loving it.

Plagiarism on Internet: The Copy Paste Story

It was the morning of 18th December when I suddenly saw that the songs of Veer were there in the market. I was planning to sleep again but I decided to download the songs so that I could write a review at the earliest. As I heard the songs, I decided to write the review then and there as I loved the songs. I did start at nine and at eleven in the morning I had the review ready, when I posted it.

One Month Old Happysing

My dear blog Happysing (yes, I’m talking about the one you are reading right now) is one month old today. And in this really short period, the blog has been really successful, especially if you consider that there was no long pre-planning before the blog was started. In fact I’m still not final with the look of the blog.
