Amit Kumar is on a roll nowadays. While Chance Pe Dance has a little sweet rap by Amit, Shahrukh’s Dulha Mil Gaya has a wonderful new age Qawwali called Dilrubaon ke Jalwe sung by him. The video has SRK dancing on the floor, something that doesn’t go with him always, but the song is anyways good and Amit Kumar has been wonderful. Monali, who sings the song with Amit, is good too.

The song has energy and is full of masti. In fact for me it’s the most heard song of the movie yet. Check out the video and lyrics here.

Lyrics:

Koi aashiq hua daulat pe, koi shauhrat pe
Kisi ne haar diya dil, khuda ki ibaadat pe
Daad deta hai zamana, phir hame kis liye aakhir
Ke hum to khud ko lutaye baithe hain ek aafat pe

Hey you, all you guys lets do it right, fire
Burning is the love tonight, jalwa
This is what the ladies is gonna to get tonight
Love is the game, you’ll be losing sight
Game of love, thats right come on
Going round n round, I like that
Mera dil dooba, check it out now baby
O meri dilruba, O meri dilruba

Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe

Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe
Hai balaon ke jalwe tauba, Bewafaon ke jalwe
Jaanta hai ye saara aalam, dil bechara kahe kya
Aa rahi hain jo zulfein chhooke un hawaon ke jalwe

Inn ki adaa rahi marr gaye hum
Bade mashoor hai in ke sitam
Inn ki gali mein kabhi mil jo gaya
Samjho hua phir kissa khatam
Bhoole hain bhatke hain zulfon mein atke hain, hum ko bacha le khuda, lets do it
Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe
Hai balaon ke jalwe tauba, Bewafaon ke jalwe

Game of love, going round n round
Mera dil dooba, o meri dilruba, o meri dilruba

Gesuon ka yeh gehra badal, jiski duniya pe chhaya
Zindagi jee gaya woh aashiq, jisne mehboob paya
Pa gaya khuda woh aa.. dil ye dil ye dil jisne gawaya, ya solve the river
Khaak chhani hai sehraon ki, chaahat hatheli pe rakh ke
Inn ki raahon ko roshan kar ke, dil bhi humne jalaya
Saare zamane se door huye, khud pagal mashhoor huye
In ko manane mein sadiyan gayi, kishmish sab angoor huye
In nigahon ke dhoop chhaon ke sau jafaon ke uff adaaon ke jalwe tauba dilrubaon ke jalwe
Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe
Ni ni sa sa re ga ma ..

Yo ya break it down, you want folded side

Husn ke aag se roshan hai aashiqo ke zamane, your my ladies
Humse hi to chala karti hai shayaron ki dukaane
Humse se hi jawan hain ishq ishq ishq ke saare phasane
Humse dil jo lagaya hai to sabr ki daalo aadat
Shikwa chodo karo minnat aur akal laao thikaane
Guzro se tola karte hain, ishq mein bola karte hain, ha ha do whatever
Har ik aire gaire pe dil nahi dhola karte hain
Gori baahon ke chikni raahon ke kehkashaaon ke inn gunahon ke jalwe tauba dilrubaon ke jalwe
Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe

Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe
Hai balaon ke jalwe tauba, Bewafaon ke jalwe
All right you people, do it from the top
Turn on the heat

Tere dar pe dastak deta hai tera deewana
Dil to pagal hai phir anjaam se kya ghabrana
Mere dil mein sirf tum ho, sirf tum ho, dilbar
Aise baazigar jo ho tum, phir k k k kya hai darr
Mast mahaul mein dil khota hai
Bolo ke phir kuch kuch hota hai
Yun na chingari bhadkao
Arrey devdas ko koi samjhao
Na kahe phir tumhe, bewafa ye duniya
Tum kaho kaun ho, badshah iss dil ka
Main hoon na meri jaan-e-jaana main hoon na
Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe, break this down
Haibalaon ke jalwe tauba, Bewafaon ke jalwe
Chahta hai ye sara aalam, dil bechara kahe kya
Aa rahi hain jo zulfein chhooke in hawaon ke jalwe
Dilrubaon ke jalwe tauba, Dilrubaon ke jalwe
Hai balaon ke jalwe tauba, Bewafaon ke jalwe
Bewafaon ke jalwe, Bewafaon ke jalwe, Dilrubaon ke jalwe

Ken Ghosh becomes music director from director. Adds Sandip Shirodkar. Calls up Amit Kumar. Amitabh Bhattacharya is asked to write some lyrics. And then we get one small 1.57 minute song.

Certainly Ken knows the importance of the small rap-dance number. Though I still doubt if the voice is of THE Amit Kumar, I think he can do it easily as he has done such things previously too. Can see Jhankar Beats for reference.

The video is out. And the interesting thing is that Shahid is not plain dancing in the video but trying to act at the same time. Check out the video.

I doubt if Jatin or Lalit alone will be able to reach the level of Jatin-Lalit. But they are trying. And here is one of those tries. Lalit Pandit composes for Shahrukh Khan-Sushmita Sen starrer, Mudassar Aziz’s Dulha Mil Gaya, which turns out to be a good album with a mixture of old and new tastes. Here is a review of the album.

Akela Dil Online: Most of the times, music has one quality. If you keep on listening to it, you start loving it even if it’s mediocre. Akela Dil online is such a song. It’s nothing great, but it’s okay and since you’ll keep listening to it, you’ll start liking it. By the way, the song is sung by Adnan Sami and Anushka Manchanda and is full of beats. Nothing like the typical Jatin-Lalit material. As I said, OKAY.

Aaja Aaja Mere Ranjhna: One thing about this song. The song is straight from the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham age. At times you can pinpoint the line too. Interestingly, the song, that comes from the K3G age, is also sung by Anushka Manchanda with Swananda. The interesting part is even though the voices have not been great (no doubts they are ‘good’), you might easily fall for the song. Yes, Jatin-Lalit are back for a song it seems.

Magar Meri Jaan: The next song, too, is sung by Anushka Manchanda (this is the last by the way), with Mahua Kamat and Lalit pandit. The song has some good music, but the lyrics are very mediocre. Still, since it’s an SRK movie, I don’t think people are going to think much about the lyrics and anyway going to love it.

Tu jo Jaan le: Like him. Love him. Sonu Nigam is here. At his old, romantic best. Lalit Pandit creates some wonderful music for Sonu Nigam to croon and Sonu takes it with both hands. Try the song, hope you love the older flavor of Sonu Nigam. I’m just listening to it. Tu jo jaan le to phir jaan de o meri jaane jaan… .. mera dil hai pata teri manzil ka..

Rang Diya Dil Maine: Five songs are over since the album is on and now I get a song where the female voice belongs to someone other than Anushka. Well, this time it’s Shreya Ghoshal and somehow her voice reminds me of Devdas songs here. The song is slow-soft-romantic, in Hindi with some Punjabi additions, but interestingly it’s faster than the usual songs of this type. In fact sometimes I feel that the song was run in 1.1 or something of the actual speed after recording. Anyways, an above average song. Not very noticeable but video will certainly help it a lot.

Dulha Mil Gaya: Starting with a brrrrrrrr… sound, this is the song you hear on your TV screens everyday (if you are watching any TV, of course). Sung by Daler Mehndi, Dulha Mil Gaya title is going to be a superhit. Because it’s catchy, it has an energetic Daler Mehndi, and biggest of all, it’s the title song of an SRK movie.

Dilrubaon ke Jalwe: Dilrubaon ke Jalwe, A new age Qawwali sung by Amit Kumar with Monali, is something worth looking out for in Dulha Mil Gaya. The song is a full of masti piece that should be loved by people once out in the market.

Tu Meri Shirin aur Main Tera Farhaad: Here comes the guest composer Pritam Chakraborty for one song and brings with him his favorite Neeraj Shridhar, singing with Tulsi Kumar. Typical Pritam-Neeraj song that will stay in your mind and will have its share of FM time for some weeks.

The songs Dilrubaon ke Jalwe, Dulha mil gaya, and akela dil online have been remixed.

Overall, Dulha Mil Gaya is a good album with a number of above average songs and a few really good ones, like Dilrubaon ke jalwe and tu jo jaan le. In fact, the way Lalit Pandit has made things good while there was not much expected, at least by me; I will be less surprised if Dulha Mil Gaya turns out to be something really good.

<g:plusone size="standard" count="1" href="http://happysing.com/2009/12/dulha-mil-gaya-music-review/"></g:plusone>

It’s different. It’s all about dance and you’ll get to know that when you get to hear the songs. Composer Adnan Sami, who composes all the songs of the movie except ‘Just Do it’, has tried to make the songs catchy and energetic but hasn’t been very successful in making things all good. In some songs he’s good, in some just okay and sometimes failure. Here is a review of CPD music, in Alphabetical order of songs.

Just Do It: The less than two minute composition by Sandip Shirodkar and Ken Ghosh is sung by Amit Kumar. A dance rap that is quite new for Amit, though he’s been bit close to it in Jhankaar Beats. Voice sounds a bit different though and it’s not easy to guess whose voice it is. The lyrics of the song are interesting where Amitabh Bhattacharya (lyricist: Dev.D, singer: iktara) tries to explain what dance is. Definitely new and fresh. Try it to know if you like it. I certainly did.

One More Dance: During the past few months Kunal Ganjawala has not been as successful as he used to be earlier. Probably because he’s not being given much chance by the best of music directors nowadays. This time he sings a composition of Adnan Sami and the result is almost the same again. The dance song, though it starts well and high on energy, falls to just okay not long after the start. Disappointing.

Pal mein Hi: If you haven’t heard it yet, go find it. (It’s there in this blog too, here). Pal mein hi is certainly the song that is going to make the CDs of CPD sell in the market. Soham Chakrabarthy and Shreya Ghoshal have sung this high pitched romantic, beatful-beautiful dance number. Lovable song.

Pe Pe Pein: This song is sung by Hard Kaur (sounding somewhat like in APKGK again), Neeraj Shridhar, and Master Saleem (Aahun Aahun). A dance song again where Adnan Sami has tried to do some experiments with Shehnai and been quite successful there. Neeraj Shridhar, Saleem, Shehnai and catchy music may make the song a hit if promoted well. Kumaar’s lyrics are in the right mood too. Interesting one.

The song also has a remix where the speed is slightly increased and some more instruments have been added in places, and even Tulsi Kumar has been added for a few lines. No big changes though.

Pump it Up: This time Adnan Sami calls him to sing and Vishal Dadlani gets one more composer added to his list. Though Vishal has been good to song, composing and mixing have not been as good as expected and the song gets lost somewhere in between after a good build up of one and half minute. Instrumental music becomes kind of too much while the song comes back but once lost, the taste doesn’t come back to the song, and the listener.

The remix version of Pump it up has some good beats and the remix impresses after a confusing original version. I’d say try the remix version of the song. It’s more regular than the regular one, and better.

Though, my guess is that a dancing Shahid Kapoor can make people love this song as it sounds quite hyper energetic and if Shahid’s dance happens to be of the same level, it can make any song a dance anthem.

Rishta Hai Mera Aasmano se: Shaan and Tulsi Kumar sing this one. And believe it or not, for some reason, Tulsi sounds strange and kind of idiotic in the first line she sings. Thankfully, you don’t hear much of her but she makes a good song of Shaan somewhat mediocre. Though later on she’s OK, I wonder if the daughter of Cassette King is really good enough a singer to get the number of songs she does. Anyway, try the song. Shaan has been energetic in the song and it should anyway work. Some added patches of music sound good too.

Yaba Daba Yahoo: Kunal has sung one more song in the album and this one is even more energetic but sounds Anu-Malikish, which, I do not think works very well nowadays. The song is a bit too much on words and not that good with music. Average.

Overall, Chance pe Dance is above average but below expectations. Just do it, Pal mein hi, and even pe pe pein make things good, but one more dance and yaba daba yahoo don’t sound very good. Hope Shahid on screen makes things better for the album.
