When I was listening to the first song of the album, Meri Aashaon ki bhor tu, I was wondering why Monty Sharma’s music doesn’t click. Probably after Saanwariya he has got all strange movies with not a very good fate. While Chamku had Bobby Deol (enough to flop a movie, even if it is good), Heroes and Fox both had Sunny Deol and I am not very hopeful about Right yaaa Wrong either.

I quite liked the first song of the album, even though after that I never found that touch again in the album. The song, Meri Ashaon ki, is a melody based, slow song, that makes me feel good about the album. The song is sung by an unheard of singer, Amitraj. And frankly, I loved the singer as well.

The second song of the album, Lakhnawi Kabab, goes well below the first in level even though it’s an entirely different kind of music. The song is a typical item number of late ’90s-early 2000s, something like teri jawani of Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya. Still, the song is fine for the type it belongs to.

Tiledar dupatta daale sung by Mika and Shail ends my hopes from movie, if any, of being different from typical Sunny Deol movies. A typical Punjabi touch song that can be danced upon only by Sunny Paji.

Right Yaa Wrong sung by Ujjaini Mukherjee seems to be the making of yet another failure in the album even though the lyrics of the song are pretty much philosophical and Ujjaini’s singing seems very much in sync with what she is trying to do. But I am unable to convince myself that it’s the song it should have been.

The last original of the album is Rihaee sung by Kunal where he goes in his typical style without giving anything to the song. Yet another song that goes in beats.

At the end, there is a remix of Lakhnawi Kabab and a male version of Right yaa Wrong, sung by Kunal. Kunal also sings the song and thankfully doesn’t go at the top of his lungs singing it’s gonna be right, which keeps the song a bit better than the previous version. But then, otherwise I loved Ujjaini’s singing more.

Overall, Right yaaa Wrong is not what I had expected from Monty. Especially after the first song I had thought there would be something in the album but the end result reaches not even the level of Chamku where I had a kithe jawa kisnu dassa by Richa. Still, try to listen to meri aashaon ki bhor. You might like the song. I quite liked that one.

    harshityou are really bad with your review. Kunal is really fabulous. What do you mean “Kunal where he goes in his typical style without giving anything to the song”. He always gives ssome really special contribution to the song. just because you have no ears and no soul doesnt mean you write such RUBBISH.

    @Shilpa

    Thanks for the comment. But frankly, Kunal has a great voice and a superb throw but he can’t do anything special to add to this song which goes all in beats.

    Whatever the problem, I didn’t like Rihaee. Now I don’t have ears or the song doesn’t have music is for u to decide.
