This certainly is going to sound strange to you. May be funny, may be not. I write reviews, I know people search for them and appreciate good ones, but I didn’t know why people NEED them. Probably because I never was exactly one of those in need for reviews, or so I (and my passion) had made myself.
Today I was watching TV alone at my sister’s house. It happens few times that I watch TV. It’s even rare that I watch it alone and have that magical device (often a magical divide in homes) called remote control with me. It was Tata Sky and I had to be contented with just four channels for my songs, that is [V], MTV, 9xm and Zoom.
But as I watched promo after promo after promo, changed channels when there were ads, and watched more promos, I was confused with so many movies coming up. I mean, nowadays I can tell you any day which movie is coming on what date in the next one month and a few even after that, but seeing promos of some 12-15 movies one after the other, for once I was thinking which movies and songs could be good and which ones bad.
And then I thought, if a person like me, who is all into movies, can get confused, what about normal people who live their lives without hardly any knowledge of movies. After a hard week of work, many people think of watching a specific movie just because their newspaper or the TV in front says it’s good. It’s simple but it was something I had not completely realized or overlooked, and I think the realization makes my job more responsible.
Guess I’ll write further reviews with even more care. After all, I’m serving people in some way.
