This is a cashless world. Or as some people say it more intellectually, this is a Plastic world. Well, yes, if people like me who possess no Credit cards and not even a flashy Visa Electron or something debit card, roaming with just an SBI Maestro survive without cash in most places, the world is quite cashless.

But in this cashless world, where ‘people’ living of old thoughts (like me) are moving cashless more and more, there are ‘institutions’ (say shops/cinemas, u get it, the ones who take money) who are living in old ages. Yes, there are shops that claim to accept credit cards (only), or ones accepting ONLY VISA cards, or even charging for using cards.

No. I do not get the logic of asking Rs 20 per ticket (not even per transaction) as ‘convenience fee’ by a multiplex. According to me, it’s anti-business to ask for convenience charges, or put ‘Credit cards only’ up on screen in today’s world. At least until you have a monopoly in the market, because in many instances you’re giving your business to your competitor.

I hope my nearby Fame multiplex understands that and changes this Rs 20 per ticket system soon. Else, I won’t go (cuz it’s too near to my house), but I guess many people will, the way I did when I could not arrange a Credit card.
